Referee Courses
HOW TO REGISTER
1. Click on the link next to the course name to register for the course.
2. Log-in to your MyComet account. Contact Wayne Stapley if you are unsure of your credentials (avoid creating another account).
3. Select the course you wish to join by clicking the shopping basket, then scroll to the top right corner of the page and click on the shopping trolley with a number (usually number 1 if only one course selected), then select "Proceed to checkout"
4. Read and click 'NZ Football Terms and Conditions' and click submit payment.
5. Complete payment method (only if required).
6. Click 'Finish'.
7. You will be contacted by email about the course.
LEVEL ONE REFEREE COURSE (FULL VERSION)
This is a 10–12 hour course (four, three-hour sessions) where we take an in-depth look at the Laws of the Game (LOTG) and an explanation of how you can start refereeing. The full course covers more content than the online version. This includes a test at the end of the course. This course is aimed more for the people who are likely to take up refereeing.

LEVEL ONE REFEREE COURSE (ONLINE VERSION)
This course has been developed for those that do not have time to attend the longer course and smaller referee centres, but also for the people who are likely to take up refereeing. You can do most of the course at home, in your own time. The date set for the course is the only session you physically attend a session with an instructor. This session will be about 3 hours in duration and includes the last couple of modules (including an outdoor session), discussion on other parts of the course and refereeing in general and a test on the Laws of the Game (LOTG). Ideally you should have completed the online part of the course before the date of the offline part for which you registered.

NCEA LEVEL ONE REFEREE COURSE (Limited to 10 participants)
NCEA Level 1 Referee Course - Wednesday 27 April - Friday 29 April 2022, 9.30pm - 12.30 pm (school holidays), English Park. Completed
Cost: $50 (GST incl) for the NCEA Programme Course per person.

COMMUNITY REFEREE COURSE (CR)
This is a FREE ONLINE or CLASSROOM course taking a basic view of the Laws of the Game. This course is suitable for those who want to become Community Referees, or just want to gain a better knowledge of the Laws of the Game. Complete the online modules before the dates below to be (re)accredited as a Community Referee.
A classroom-based course can be completed upon request from a club or school for $80 per course (3-4 hours long). This can be held on a day of the weekend, on one weeknight evening or over two weeknights.

LEVEL ONE FUTSAL REFEREE COURSE
Mainland Football is getting in behind Futsal and our Futsal FIFA referee, Chris Sinclair is employed as the Futsal Development Manager (including referees), to promote and develop this growing part of the beautiful game. The Futsal Referee Courses are run in a few hours (also with some online content to complete). Futsal has its own refereeing pathway, including FIFA Futsal status, as Chris had shown.
The course has an online learning platform with the content to be finished before attending a 2-3 hour session.

FUTSAL INTRODUCTORY REFEREE COURSE
This is a FREE ONLINE course. This course is suitable for those who want a better knowledge of the Laws of the Game, but don't want to attend the Level one course at this stage. Complete the online modules before the dates below to be accredited as a Futsal Community Referee.
